Cate Peters, a junior at Monte Vista High in California, won the girls invitational 800 meters in a meet-record 2:06.89 and clocked 24.74 in the seeded section of the 200 meters at the 62nd Mt. SAC Relays Presented by Nike at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif. Peters eclipsed the meet all-time mark of 2:08.05 established in 1990 by Irma Betancourt.
