First-year New Balance professional Sydney McLaughlin made her outdoor debut leading off for Hayes All-Stars in the women's invitational 4x400-meter relay with a 50.1-second split at the 61st Mt. SAC Relays, contributing to victory in 3:29.88 at El Camino College's Murdock Stadium in Torrance, Calif. McLaughlin teamed with Nnenya Hailey, Gia Trevisan and fellow first-year New Balance pro Kendall Ellis, who anchored in 51.4. McLaughlin is scheduled to run the 400-meter hurdles May 11 at Occidental College, followed by her Diamond League debut May 18 in Shanghai, competing in the 400 meters.
