Stockdale senior Nick Zandes set the Central Section decathlon record with 6595 points, the No. 5 mark in state history, at the Mt. SAC Relays multis event. Zandes, who broke the 2000 record of 6493 set by Golden West's Scott Sobieralski, ascended to No. 2 in the country this year using the high school implements.
